Foes, obviously do not like living next door to each other and this can negatively effect the growtha dn happiness of plants.

Plants can benefit greatly by having a friendly neighbour - benefits may include things like, one plant acts as a pest deterant for its neighbour, or one plant may produce nitrogen which its neighbour needs etc etc.

Wanted to know if it had any local relevance/source?
In our garden in Sydney, we have found the overseas companion books not that helpful in the difference between growing something amongst bad companion plants Vs good companion plants was nil.
